Nanung Peace Initiative Announces WANEP’s Support for Peaceful Elections Advocacy Event, Calls on All Ghanaians to Embrace the Initiative

The Nanung Peace Initiative (NPI) is pleased to announce the support of the West Africa Network For Peacekeeping (WANEP) for the upcoming “Traditional and Religious Leaders’ Advocacy for Peaceful Elections in Ghana 2024.” The event is set to take place on November 2, 2024, at the University for Development Studies (UDS) Multi-Purpose Auditorium in Tamale, aims to promote peace and stability during the 2024 General Elections.

WANEP has committed not only to supporting the initiative but also to playing a pivotal role in ensuring its success. WANEP involvement will be instrumental in reinforcing the message of peaceful elections, a core mission of both WANEP and NPI.

NPI is calling on every Ghanaian to welcome this crucial support and the program as a whole. The event will bring together traditional leaders, Islamic and Christian clergy, diplomatic representatives, members of Parliament, and political party flagbearers, all of whom will engage in discussions centered on peaceful campaigning and elections. The program will conclude with the signing of a communiqué, symbolizing a unified commitment to peace throughout the electoral process.
