Panel Announcement: Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed Kamaldeen, Imam of the Shai Community, to Join Panel Discussion on the Islamic Perspective for Peaceful Elections

The Nanung Peace Initiative (NPI) is honored to announce that Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed Kamaldeen, the respected Imam of the Shai Community, will serve as a panel member at the “Traditional and Religious Leaders’ Advocacy for Peaceful Elections in Ghana 2024” event, scheduled for November 2, 2024, at the UDS Multi-Purpose Auditorium in Tamale, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.

As a prominent Islamic leader, Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed Kamaldeen will contribute to the panel discussion titled “The Islamic Perspective on Peaceful Elections,” sharing his wisdom on how Islamic values and teachings can foster peace and harmony during elections. His participation will emphasize the role of Islamic leadership in promoting justice, unity, and non-violence throughout the electoral process.

Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed Kamaldeen’s key points will include:

  • The application of Islamic teachings on peace and fairness to electoral processes, and how they can help prevent conflict.
