The Nanung Peace Initiative (NPI) is honored to announce that Prof. Amin Alhassan, Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), will serve as a key member of the Technical Committee Leadership at the Traditional and Religious Leaders’ Advocacy for Peaceful Elections in Ghana 2024. This pivotal event is scheduled for November 2, 2024, at the UDS Multi-Purpose Auditorium in Tamale, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Prof. Amin Alhassan, with his vast experience in media, communication, and leadership, will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective dissemination of information and promoting transparency throughout the electoral process. His participation in the Technical Committee reinforces the vital role of media in advocating for peaceful and democratic elections in Ghana.
As part of the Technical Committee Leadership, Prof. Amin Alhassan will:
- Provide strategic communication guidance to ensure the smooth execution and outreach of the event.
- Foster collaboration between media institutions and stakeholders to promote peace and accurate reporting during the elections.
- Highlight the role of the media in safeguarding electoral transparency and public trust.

- Commitments from political party flagbearers to uphold peaceful and transparent election campaigns.
