The Nanung Peace Initiative (NPI) warmly welcomes the restoration of maximum validity periods for U.S. nonimmigrant visas for Ghanaians five-year multiple entry for B1/B2 visitor visas and four-year multiple entry for F1 student visas as confirmed by the U.S. Embassy in Ghana.
This diplomatic victory restores credibility, trust, and goodwill between Ghana and the United States, and reflects the depth of our longstanding bilateral relationship. It underscores the mutual respect that must define interactions between nations.
Under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump (USA) and President John Dramani Mahama (Ghana), this milestone speaks to shared commitment to stronger ties. We also recognize the role of U.S. Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia E. Palmer, whose diplomatic engagement helped pave the way. On the Ghana side, we salute Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister for Foreign Affairs, whose leadership in foreign policy has been instrumental in these negotiations.
For Ghanaians, this decision reopens pathways in education, commerce, and cultural exchange. For the United States, it reaffirms confidence in Ghana’s people. For the global community, it illustrates how principled diplomacy and perseverance can yield real progress.
As NPI, we celebrate this breakthrough and call on both governments to continue building on this renewed spirit of cooperation. Stronger Ghana-U.S. relations will benefit not just our two peoples, but serve as a positive example for the world.
